I remember the Owasco was stationed at the Submarine Base in New London, CT. I was stationed at CG Moorings in New London. Some of the Owasco sailors took a depth charge and set it on one of the submarines! Anyone out there remember this? It was sometime in 1959-1961.

Just found this great site. My father served as a National Weather Service meteorologist on the Atlantic weather ships from the 50's to the mid 70's. I and the family went many times to greet the ships returning from ocean stations. We have good memories of those great ships and crews. By the way, Dad and mom are still doing well. Keep up the great work.
