In keeping with the change in reunion policy, the web site will now be dedicated to all ocean stations vessels from after WWII to ending of the weather stations in the late 1970s. The site will be broken up into sections covering the 5 major cutter classes that manned these stations, 327 foot Secretary class, 255' Owasco class, 306' Edsall class DEs, 311' Casco class, and the 378' Hero class cutters. The sections will be broken int categories covering the individual cutters of that class. Each cutter may have unlimited amount of stories, events etc. There will also be a "Virtual Meeting Room" for each cutter where you can just drop in an say hello to your former shipmates (this is similar to the virtual reunion hall at Fred's Place. You will have to be a "registered User" to use this service I have a fairly good start on material entries for the site but as the only webmaster for the site it is very hard to do all the research so I am asking each and everyone of you to send me any story, event, who was CO when youwere aboard (and dates if known). I have much of the info on the 255s thanks to our historian Doak Walker. Any input on improving or changing the site will always be welcome. We know that many of the 255 sailors already know of the site but sailors of the other vessels may not therefore if you have contact wih any we would appreciate it if you would pass the word to them and ask them to do the same. Not only will it be good for the site but it will also help in making our next "All OSV Reunion" an even bigger success than the one this past May in Reno Appreciate any help you can give me.
